Denis Khvatov, MMus, born in Moscow in 1969.

Studied at the Gnessin's Musical College and Academy, Moscow, Russia.

Teachers: Slava Gabrielov (piano), Andrey Khitruk (piano), Elena Kadashevich (theory), Larisa Gerver (theory). 

As a piano teacher worked for British Columbia Conservatory of Music, Victoria Conservatory of Music, Canada.

Author of several collections of pieces for piano, Concerto for piano and orchestra, music for voice and chamber orchestra; editor; music publisher; filmmaker.

Author of the "First Book of Piano Music" (a method for piano beginners) and "Piano for Beginners", collections of pieces, studies, scales and exercises.

Winner of the First and Special Prizes at the International Kabalevsky Music Competition (Moscow, 2017) for music compositions for children and youth.
